Traditionally, artists' papers were made on the basis of rag, which provided high light resistance over time and long preservation. Nowadays, modern technology makes it possible to give the paper the same qualities in terms of preservation based on wood cellulose. However, cotton fibers have the advantage of being hollow. Therefore, rag paper has a higher absorption capacity, which plays a particularly important role in watercolor. This watercolor paper is made of 100% rag and meets the highest demands in the professional artist field with watercolor: very high absorption of the paper, a flat structure even when wet, wiping and touching up is possible even with a semi-satin surface.
